Parvati Kalyanam : Sonnet - 5
Dejected and heart broken, Parvati reached her palace,
Narad told her, Shiv could be bought by penance;
Parvati became a yogini, and left her palace,
time turned her, into a symbol of, sacred resonance.
Years passed by, but penance failed, in the search,
Parvati ate nothing, and turned weak and stoic;
Faith brought at last, a young sage, at the porch,
Parvati was dissuaded, to abandon the ascetic.
Parvati turned red, in anger and rage,
branded the sly and debase, as evil to be heard;
Turned around to leave, but could not move or disengage,
astonished to find, the Lord Shiv, she revered.
Shiv Parvati forged, the entire existence,
encompassing time and space, as Nature’s confluence.
